In honor of Native American Heritage Month and the tireless work of climate justice warriors everywhere, Indigenous Peoples Power Project has launched the Heartbeat of The Homelands Climate Justice Map, an interactive map of environmental issues affecting Indigenous communities across Turtle Island.

Visit the Climate Justice Map at: www.ip3action.org/climatejusticemap.

To better inform our work in nonviolent direct action (NVDA) strategy, build capacity in Indigenous communities, and to raise Indigenous voices, Indigenous Peoples Power Project is collecting Indigenous Knowledge to build a first of its kind Climate Justice Map. Our goal with this project is to build on a foundation of Indigenous Knowledge as opposed to a Western Science approach, to share our stories, raise awareness, and build deeper connections in NDN Country.

If you have information on climate justice actions taking place in Indigenous communities not already included on our map, or would like to share Indigenous Knowledge, media, or information for actions already listed, please use the submission form at www.ip3action.org/climatejusticemapsubmissionform. As we build upon the Heartbeat of The Homelands Climate Justice Map, each location will include an Indigenous Knowledge sheet in PDF format, videos, images, and other media for our communities to deepen their understanding of these issues, and credit will be given for any information we receive.

Celebrating Indigenous Heritage this month and every month!
